When the cone bit is working at the bottom of the well, the whole bit rotates around the axis ofthe bit, which is called revolution, while the three rollers roll at the bottom of the well according to their own axes, which is called rotation. The bit bears the weight of the bit on the rock through its teeth causing it to break (crush). During the roling process, the roller contacts the bottom of the well alternately with single tooth and double tooth, and the position of the center of the roller rises and falls, resulting in longitudinal vibration of the bit. This longitudinal vibration causes the dril string to compress and stretch continuously, and the lower drill string converts this periodic elastic deformation into animpact force on the formation through the teeth to break the rock. This kind of impact and crushing isthe main way to break rock with roller bit.

How to properly store and maintain drill bits?

Cleaning: After use, remove debris and dust from the drill bit using a cloth or brush. Rust Prevention: Apply a small amount of lightweight machine oil to the drill bit surface to prevent rusting, especially in humid environments. Organized Storage: Store drill bits neatly by category using a drill bit index box or magnetic strip holder, ensuring they don’t collide with each other and risk damaging the cutting edges.

Do you have a pre-shipment inspection procedure?

Yes, we always test the product before delivery.

Can I take a sample for testing?

Yes, samples can be sent for testing before placing a bulk order.

When is the delivery time?

Stock orders will be fulfilled within 7–15 days; for OEM and ODM orders, the exact timeline depends on the specific situation.

What are the payment terms?

Wire transfer or letter of credit, Western Union, Alipay, and more.

Why does the drill bit slip and fail to grip metal or smooth surfaces?

You can use a center punch to create a small indentation at the drilling location, providing the drill bit with a starting point. For surfaces that are particularly smooth, you can also apply tape over them before marking, which helps increase friction.
